What is Application Support?

Have you ever asked...
How can I get CorelDRAW to...?
(This is the #1 question we've been asked in 15 years of teaching)

Have you ever...

Called an equipment manufacturer to ask how to set up a graphic for the job?
.... and they weren't sure.

Called Corel tech support to ask how to set up a job for your equipment?
.... and found out that they don't know the graphics your equipment requires.

Called a material supplier to ask how to create artwork for their material?
... and discovered  they aren't experts in graphics.

Have you ever...

Spent hours figuring out how to set up a job in Corel, because you aren't familiar with layers, multiple pages, or some other feature?

Wished you had a CorelDRAW consultant on staff?

Guided your customer to a different kind of product because you didn't know how to set up his job in Corel?

Do you suspect...

You have wasted time in your shop because you don't know the fastest and easiest ways to use CorelDRAW to get the job done quickly and efficiently?

You could handle more work if you were aware of creative ways to use Corel?

Do you wish you had the time to teach yourself?
(We are all slaves to the Tyranny of the URGENT!)

Being able to use CorelDRAW quickly and efficiently is like
money
in your pocket!
But the money is illusive, IF you keep stumbling through the graphics!

Judy and I have taught CorelDRAW applied for many years around the country, and have heard lots of stories like these. Such stories really frustrate us because we know the power of CorelDRAW and want people to use it profitably. We realize that not everyone is going to be a Corel whiz, but many people are missing out on its power.  They just use Corel for the basics; and are reluctant to use, or are unaware of, its powerful features.

Everyone in the industry needs to make money with CorelDRAW.
After all, graphics is the heart of our businesses. So what to do?

We thought it would be great if we could clone ourselves to be there and help everyone through a "Corel moment" whenever it occurs. But cloning is only real in "Star Wars" -- or so we thought.   But then ... the idea of an Application Support Service came to us! We realized that Application Support goes beyond Technical Support.

Application Support bridges the gap
between hardware and software.

Software companies have people that answer questions about how to use the features of their software.  The catch is you have to know the feature exists.  Most of the time the people you talk to don't know engraving, sandblasting, sublimation, or any of the other processes you might have.  In addition, software technical support can cost $45 per incident or more.

Hardware companies provide technical support for their equipment.  Their support is to insure that their equipment is functioning properly.  Their technical support people usually don't have an in-depth knowledge of software application features.

Application Support bridges the gap; we can help you setup your CorelDRAW graphic for industry-specific jobs! We may be able to help you do jobs you couldn't do, or perhaps help you do them faster.

Application Support is
 Like having a Corel Training Partner, with industry expertise, on your staff.

What Does Our
Application Support Service Provide?

A Monthly Newsletter focused on
CorelDRAW Applied

We've talked with our friends at Graphics Pro magazine (www.GraphicsPro.org), and they have agreed to handle the logistics of publishing a monthly newsletter for us. This newsletter will have a variety of tips on the use of Corel, and occasionally we may have downloads of templates for specific jobs.

Just like the columns Judy and I write, the Newsletter will contain practical applications with step by step instructions.  The Newsletters will be in a form that you can print out and put in a binder for future reference for you and your staff.

One on One email Consultation

Perhaps the Newsletter will be all you need.  But if not, all subscribers will have email consultation available for industry-specific uses of CorelDRAW.

The beauty of this is that because we use so many different graphic production processes in our shops, we can help you with your applications. We can help you set up jobs for laser or rotary engraving; for sandblasting; sublimation; for printing projects (like literature); or for digital printing and sign-making.

No more stumbling through graphics, or walking around the bells and whistles. Now you can take on jobs with confidence because we can be there to help you through it. From anywhere in the country no matter where we're teaching, we can connect by email, and within 48 hours or sooner respond to your request.

Discounts on Training Materials

As many of you know we have produced training CDs.  These CDs are step-by-step audio and video instructions that cover subjects like Making Artwork Usable; Laser Engraving; and Laser Engraving combined with Sandblasting.

Many of our seminar students have purchased these CDs and have reported back that they feel the materials are extremely useful.

We plan to introduce additional titles on Sandblasting, Sublimation and other image transfer processes.  These materials will be available to our subscribers at a discount.

Testimonials

Since this is a new service, we don't have any direct testimonials; however, here are a few comments from students who have taken our Corel-based training classes for the industry:

What Does Our
Application Support Service Cost?

How to make this work? We don't want to be on a clock with you. We know that some people may take a little longer than others to understand a tip or trick in CorelDRAW; and we want to be able to give you the consultation you may need on Corel Applications; so what we've decided to offer is an annual subscription service.

The fee for this new service is only $180 for a year. We know this amount ($15 a month) is probably less than your email service and a lot less than most tech support programs.

We should also remind you that this is not just CorelDRAW help; it's help using CorelDRAW, and setting up jobs for your production processes. It's industry-specific Application Support! It's a customer insurance policy! It's the missing link between hardware and software tech support.

As a subscriber to our new Application Support Service, you will be a part of our Inner Circle of preferred clients! Here is what you will receive:

Newsletter of CorelDRAW Tips & Tricks for specific processes;
Email consultation on specific jobs;
Discounts on new training materials (CDs, books, videos);
Be the first to find out about our teaching schedule and new training materials;
Brief reviews of new products; and
Downloadable templates for specific jobs.

Many of your questions will be answered in our regular newsletters and special reports. That's a great value in itself. But the beauty of subscribing to our Application Support Service is that if any question comes up that you don't have an answer to, we are only an email away. We're there for you!
